The 1999 site shipped helpeng.htm, but it
contained the Romanian text — the English translation never
happened. This is that help, translated now.
Moving the cursor takes you closer to or further from the map. The green label shows how much of the whole map is currently visible, as a percentage. The map redraws after a delay you can set in Options; the default is 500 ms.
The red rectangle on the small map shows which part of the map is on screen. You can grab that rectangle with the mouse to move around quickly.
Shows and hides the street names. With names on, the map may redraw more slowly, depending on your computer.
Shows and hides the markers for the places where DNT is present in the city. Click a marker for more about that point of presence.

Type a street or square name, or part of one, and press FIND or Enter. You get a list of every street containing what you typed; double-click one to see exactly where it is. For the name to be drawn, STREETS must be ON. Do not use diacritics.
Two things to set: the delay after which the map redraws when you change the zoom or move the rectangle, and the zoom level at which a street found through Find is shown.
If the red rectangle on the small map did not get you exactly where you wanted, use this. Click and hold inside the disc and the map moves at a speed proportional to the distance from the centre of the disc, in the direction you have chosen.
Hold Shift and click any component on the right of the map for help on it. Only the active components have help — buttons, the small map, and so on.

Az egérrel a kurzort mozgatva közeledhetünk, vagy távolodhatunk a térképtől. A zöld mezőről az éppen látható terület nagyságát olvashatjuk le, százalékben. A térkép csak egy bizonyos idő után aktualizálódik, ezt az időt az Options ablakban állíthatjuk be. Alapértelmezett érték 500 ms.
A piros keretbe zárt területet láthatjuk éppen a térképen. Ezt a keretet megfoghatjuk, és mozgathatjuk az egérrel, ilyenkor a térképen is megváltozik az éppen látott rész.
Erre a gombra kattintva megjeleníthetjük, illetve eltüntethetjük az utcaneveket. Ha az utcák „be vannak kapcsolva”, lassulhat a térkép frissítése, a számítógép teljesítményétől függően.
Ezzel a gombbal megjeleníthetjük, vagy eltüntethetjük azokat a helyeket, ahol a DNT jelen van Kolozsváron.

A felső mezőbe írhatjuk be a keresendő utca, tér nevét, vagy a nevének egy részletét. Az alsó mezőben egy listát kapunk az összes olyan utca nevével, amelyekben a keresett rész szerepel. A lista bármely elemére kettőt kattintva, az megjelenik a térképen (ne felejtsük el az utcaneveket bekapcsolni). Ne használjunk ékezeteket!
Két értéket állíthatunk be: 1) azt az időegységet, ami után a térkép frissítése történjen, amennyiben a nagyításon vagy a piros keret helyzetén változtattunk; 2) azt a nagyítási értéket, amellyel a megtalált utcákat szeretnénk látni.
Ha a kicsinyített térképen a piros keret segítségével nem tudtuk volna pontosan beállítani a kívánt részt, ezt megtehetjük a finombeállítóval. A korong belsejébe kattintva és az egérgombot nyomva tartva a térkép elmozdul a korong közepétől mért távolsággal arányos sebességgel, és a megfelelő szöggel.
Bármely komponensről bővebb információt kaphatunk, ha a Shift billentyűt lenyomva tartva az egérrel az adott komponensre kattintunk. A súgó csak aktív komponensekre érvényes!

Prin miscarea cursorului putem sa ne apropiem sau sa ne departam imaginea hartii. Indicatorul de ZOOM din eticheta verde ne arata la ce nivel de marire am ajuns. Imaginea hartii se schimba dupa un interval de timp pe care dvs. puteti sa il setati din Options. Lungimea implicita a acestui interval este de 500 ms.
Dreptunghiul rosu din harta micsorata va indica portiunea din aceasta harta care este vizibila la un moment dat pe ecran. Acest dreptunghi rosu poate fi pozitionat cu ajutorul mouse-ului pentru schimbarea rapida a pozitiei.
Acest buton arata si respectiv ascunde numele strazilor. Daca numele strazilor sunt afisate atunci imaginea hartii s-ar putea schimba mai lent, acest lucru depinzand si de performantele calculatorului dvs.

Introduceti numele sau o portiune din numele strazii si dati click pe butonul FIND sau apasati ENTER. Va aparea o lista cu toate strazile care contin portiunea de nume scrisa mai sus. Dati dublu click pe strada din lista pe care o cautati pentru a afla pozitia ei exacta pe harta. Pentru a vedea scris numele strazii butonul STREETS trebuie setat la pozitia ON. Nu folositi diacritice!
1) Intervalul in care se schimba imaginea hartii dupa folosirea oricarei componente care modifica aspectul hartii. 2) Valoarea indicatorului de marire cu care este afisata harta cu strada gasita folosind facilitatea FIND.
Daca nu ati reusit sa va pozitionati in zona dorita cu ajutorul dreptunghiului rosu din harta micsorata, atunci va sta la dispozitie aceasta componenta. Daca dati click sau tineti apasat mouse-ul in interiorul discului va veti deplasa in directia selectata cu o viteza proportionala cu distanta din centrul discului pana la punctul albastru aparut la click.
Pentru HELP pe fiecare componenta tineti apasat Shift si dati click cu mouse-ul pe componenta respectiva. Aveti la dispozitie HELP doar pentru componentele active!

This button never did anything. The 1999 help says so in both languages it was written in — Fejlesztés alatt, În curs de realizare: under development.
The applet went further than the movie did. It carries a
clientson and a buildingson flag, and folds
both into the bitfield it sends across the bridge — but the
JavaScript only ever reads the top two bits, and the Flash movie only
has four layer states. Two planned layers were wired up on the Java side
and never drawn.
The Internet Archive's copies of
dntcj.ro/cjmap, including a 2007 directory listing, contain
no photo files either. If a later version had them, it has not turned up
yet.
